Chris Lessing, MD

M. Chris Lessing, BS, PhD

Chris Lessing received his BS in Bioengineering from Rice University in Houston, where he studied the effects of mechanical forces on tissue-engineered cartilage. He earned his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Georgia Tech in Atlanta, and his thesis examined the cellular mechanisms underlying traumatic brain injury as observed using in vitro and in vivo models.  Dr. Lessing has been at KCI for nearly ?? years as a scientist in the Applied Sciences group in R&D and currently as the Director of Scientific Affairs and HE&R in EMEA and ANZ.

 His research at KCI has supported the product development, regulatory, and marketing efforts for the V.A.C.Ulta™ Therapy System and Prevena™ Incision Management System.
